At the German International School Abu Dhabi (GISAD), we offer our students a diverse and exciting full-day program. Our extracurricular activities (AGs) give children the opportunity to explore their interests, develop new skills, and have fun together with friends. Whether it’s sports, creative activities, languages, or strategic challenges – there’s something for everyone!
With the start of the new semester, we are introducing an updated AG schedule featuring both new and familiar offerings. Most AGs will continue, and we are excited to present some thrilling new activities.

AG “Games & Sports”
Instructor: Alena Monecke
Short Description:
In this AG, children can run, laugh, and move freely. Together they play various movement games – sometimes with balls, sometimes in teams, indoors or outdoors. They learn fair play and team spirit.

AG “Football”
Instructor: Coach Yassin
Short Description:
Under the guidance of Coach Yassin, children learn football techniques and tactics. Alongside professional training, team spirit and individual development are encouraged.
Thursday: 8th & 9th period
AG “Dancing”
Instructor: Coach Olga
Short Description:
Children learn different dance styles as well as some ballet. What they learn is performed together at school events.
Friday: 2nd period
AG “Gymnastics”
Instructor: Fit Kids Academy
Short Description:
Gymnastics promotes flexibility, posture, and self-confidence. The children learn to face challenges with discipline and joy.
Monday: 8th period

Martial arts teach courage, discipline, and respect. The children develop physical strength, self-confidence, and teamwork skills.

Short Description:
In this AG, children experience a diverse mix of creative, active, and relaxing activities. They discover their strengths, learn to work as a team, show consideration for others, and resolve conflicts fairly. At the same time, they are given opportunities to relax, reduce stress, and practice mindfulness. (AG is FREE OF CHARGE)

This AG focuses on card, dice, and board games. Children learn new games, train logical thinking, and enjoy the fun of playing together.

Short Description:
Colors, glitter, and paper turn into small works of art. In this AG, children paint, craft, and build – sometimes a bit chaotic, but always creative and unique in the end.

All music enthusiasts are welcome – whether learning an instrument, playing pop songs together, or singing. Basic skills are taught and existing talents are developed further.

Short Description:
In this Building-Tech (Lego) AG, children create their own models – from cars to imaginative constructions. Together, they learn step by step how patience, creativity, and attention to detail lead to great results. At the end of the semester, students can take their finished models home as a personal memory of an exciting time.
